Book Floor Removal Before the Holidays in Las Vegas

By Las Vegas Floor & Wall Removal

If you want a new floor down before family arrives, the tear-out has to be booked first, not last. Here is how to get it lined up.

Your installer has a slot before the holidays, but the old floor is still in your Las Vegas home and you need someone to take it out. Book the removal first and ask what condition the slab will be in when the crew leaves.

Why tear-out comes first

An installer cannot lay anything until the old floor, the adhesive and the thinset are gone and the slab is clean. If removal is late, the installer either waits or moves on to their next customer. In a busy season, getting them back can take longer than anyone planned.

What to decide before you call

You do not need every detail settled. It helps to know which rooms are coming up, what the old floor is (tile, wood, carpet, vinyl or a mix), and roughly when your installer can start. If you are not sure what is down there, that is fine — we walk the space and tell you before we quote.

- Which rooms, hallways and closets are included

- What the existing floor is and whether there is more than one layer

- Your installer's start date, if you have one

- Whether anyone will be living in the house during the work

If you are living in the house, ask which rooms stay usable and how debris will leave. We use plastic to separate the work area, discuss negative air and HEPA filtration for the setup, and tell you plainly that demolition is not dust free. We confirm the work sequence with your installer rather than promise an arbitrary finish date.

If you are comparing crews now, see our floor removal work and the Las Vegas valley service areas. Call (702) 985-1599 for a free estimate; tell us what is coming out and what the next trade needs.

What decides how long it takes

We will not give you a number of days in an article, because the honest answer depends on the house. The material matters most: glued-down wood and tile set in a thick mortar bed take far longer than floating laminate. Square footage, how well the adhesive or thinset has bonded, how many rooms are furnished, and how easy it is to get debris out to the truck all move the schedule. Once we have seen the job, we can give you a straight answer.

Keeping the job tidy in an occupied home

Most holiday remodels happen with the family still living there. We plan the work room by room, keep walkways clear, and haul our own debris so you are not left with a pile in the driveway. Our floor removal page explains how we set up and what the slab looks like when we hand it over.

Why homeowners trust us with it

We have been removing floors across the valley since 2012 — fourteen years — under Nevada contractor license #0079188. We are licensed, bonded and insured, and our crew does the work and the haul-off itself. We cover Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Enterprise, Summerlin and Boulder City; you can check your neighborhood on our service areas page.

For floor removal in Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas or elsewhere in our service areas, call (702) 985-1599 for a free estimate. We will walk the site, discuss dust control and the slab or space your installer needs, and give you a clear scope before you decide.
