How commercial floor removal gets done on a deadline

By Las Vegas Floor & Wall Removal

20,000 square feet of slab in three days — crew size, machines and sequencing.

Commercial demolition schedules are rarely generous. A store cannot stay closed, a tenant improvement has a hand-over date, and every trade behind you is already booked.

The Superior Grocers job near Decatur and I-95 was the clearest example. Over 20,000 square feet of concrete saw cut and removed in three days, with load-out running continuously so the floor never became a debris storage yard.

Three things make that possible. Crew size — six trained people beat two people working overtime. Machines — ride-on scrapers and slab saws on open floor produce square footage that hand tools never will. And sequencing — cutting, breaking, loading and hauling as parallel operations rather than one after the other.

The fourth thing is coordination. Knowing when the dumpster swaps, where the trucks stage, when the building is accessible and which trade follows you decides whether the schedule holds.

If you have a hard deadline, tell us the date first. We would rather turn down a job than miss a hand-over.
